First of all, my review is not about the food - which is fantastic. Every sandwich I've had was great but this review really dwells on how they treat the greater community. I was in last week after the US Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage and I heard one of the owners refer to gay folks as "lip-wristed poofers" to some other patrons (who seemed to share the opinion). I get that West Michigan is very conservative and everyone is entitled to their own opinions on things but to hear that coming from the owner of an establishment like that was off-putting. My support for the local gay community is more important than my love of their sandwiches.

They're hours arent the usual sandwich restaurant hours, but it's worth it if you go. Ive had a few different items on the menu and they were all good. My recommendation and personal goto is The Buffalo Chicken. Theres a lite kick that doesnt takeaway too much of the taste. Bleu Cheese crumbles...the works. Very tasty!

Had catering by these guys courtesy of my employer while working on a film project. We had two types of salads, two pizzas, and two grinders brought in. Starting with the salad, it was fresh and delicious. It wasn't anything special, but the croutons were great and the bread the salad came with was also very tasty. A big plus on the dressing, I'm almost always strictly ranch on my salad and I loved the dressing they used for their House Salad. The grinders served were Cordon Bleu, the Club, and the Cheesesteak. The Club was pretty average, the Chicken Cordon Bleu was very tasty, but the Cheesesteak blew me a way. Just as flavorful as the Cheeseteaks they sell at Michigan International Speedway, though they were a little low on the peppers. The pizza was great, I'll be buying their Margerita pizza again, and I don't even like tomatoes. I'll be back to try again soon.

Walked in and walked right out. The guy making sandwiches was wearing gloves but freely coughing on the prep counter, no effort to cover either. Bummed, I've never been here and live very close.

Solid lunch spot for anyone coming from the Ada - Cascade side of town. There's even a narrow back road coming in off Kraft that saves time for people coming from the North. Original Italian grinder was spot-on. Salad was satisfactory. Price point - favorable. Service - commendable. Seems like the type of place where the staff and owner will remember your name by the third visit. I will be back.

The food was good, fresh ingredients that taste like someone actually cares about that sort of thing. The prices are pretty great as well. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, some soups and fries and pizzas for around seven dollars. If I worked near I would be here all the time for lunch. However, I really didn't enjoy the service from the owner and thus won't be back. It's too far and the food is just OK.

My spicy chicken sandwich was not terrible but no better than Wendy's or comparable fast food. My boyfriend's was a lot of very dry pork topped with disgustingly soggy cole slaw. It looked gross and once he tasted it he confirmed it. Rather than offer him something different the manager simply told my boyfriend that they sell a lot of those. Once he realized he had screwed up he came back to our table to offer my boyfriend something else, but once again couldn't resist being argumentative and defensive about the quality of the sandwich. Mediocre food and a mean-spirited manager. Won't be back.

I had a meatball sub and a broccoli salad. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth a stop.

Just tried the BBQ Pulled Pork Grinder (seasonal option) & Chili - Delish! Great value, quality & portion for reasonable price!!! Ordered my lunch to go but ended up eating most of it there. They open before 11am which is also nice because I'm usually starving by 10:30 am. If you are in need of a fresh lunch for the office they cater box lunches & deliver as well!

This place was mediocre at best. $5 for a 6 inch sub that I could make better at home with bread from Meijer is not what I would consider favorable. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was supposed to include gouda cheese. I decided to go in and look for it since I couldn't taste it and only discovered the melted piece of cheese because there was a hair stuck in it; I won't be back.

Great grinders but in a poor location that it's hard to remember to go there. Tasty sides too.

Great lunch spot. Enjoyed my pizza grinder. Prices are good - my combo including waffle fries, grinder and fountain just under nine bucks. Really friendly staff as well. I will be back .

I happened upon WG Grinders while travelling down 28th street, and was pleasantly surprised to find a location so close to my house. I grew up eating from this place in my hometown in Ohio, but had never seen a franchise location anywhere out of state. After doing some research, I found out that this is the only location in Michigan. The highlight for me is the sourdough baguette that creates the framework for the grinders. It's really flavorful, and unlike any other sub shop around. The ingredients and cheeses that go on the grinders are great, and the prices are really fantastic. Great for a quick take-out dinner when you need high quality food, fast.

I was graving a grinder and found a great place on yelp. The manager at W.G. Grinders was pleasant and helpful. He made you want to come back even before finishing your meal. The Cheese-steak grinder was tender and seasoned well (yummy). The waffle fries are crispy. I definitely recommend W.G. Grinders and will be back.

One of my favorite lunch stops! Located a bit further down 28th than some may journey, it's definitely worth the trek. They have excellent soups, and their subs...o m g. Good stuff. They also have freshly made salads; potato salads, noodle salads etc. They have pretty good pricing on combo's and also have delivery and catering for work. I've had their catering and it's excellent as well. Call early in the morning or fax for lunch orders as they get pretty busy. Stop in and give them a try for lunch, you won't be disappointed.

Good lunch place even though it is out of the way. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was good. I got the pizza grinder which was delicious but was cut into little squares so I could not pick it up. Their prices were great, a combo with a side of your choice and a grinder and a drink came out around $7. The sides are awesome and consist of many salad dishes and waffle fries, or a cookie or soup. I just wish the location was more convenient.
